About the Course
There are many schools, colleges and organisations offering various
courses, qualifications and styles of training which can be very
confusing when trying to choose the right Reflexology course.
A group of established, independent reflexology Schools have,
for some time, felt strongly that there was a need for a more
reflexology-specific course. These independent Schools, not reliant
on government funding, understand the training needs and requirements
to become a practicing, professional reflexologist.
Centralia, a Cardiff-based, independent Approved Centre accredited
by Agored Cymru (the Welsh Qualifications and Awarding Body),
have developed the Level 5 Practitioner Course in Reflexology.
Because of devolution in Wales, Agored Cymru are able to provide
credits and units that are mapped to National Occupational Standards
and the Reflexology Core Curriculum. These units are now available
to Partnership Centres in the rest of the UK.
Susie Jennings School of Reflexology is proud to be one of the
few Schools in the UK to have been selected to be a Partnership
Centre with Centralia to offer this brand new Level 5 Practitioner
Course in Reflexology. This is the highest level of Reflexology
training that students can undertake in the UK, without going
to a university.
There are no other accredited Level 5 Reflexology courses available
in the UK.
The course was validated by Professional
Reflexology (PR) and is recognized by the Association
of Reflexologists (AoR), the two best known and respected
professional Reflexology membership organisations in the UK. Both
offer specialist insurance cover and provide
advice, information services and an ongoing educational programme.
After qualifying students are eligible to join both Professional
Reflexology and the Association of Reflexologists and can apply
for registration with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare
Council (CNHC) - the UK's complementary health register.
